LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — After years of close finishes, Justin Allgaier secured his first Xfinity Series victory at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday.
Allgaier held off Aric Almirola to take the checkered flag. The win represented his first of the season and the 26th of his career. With his first first-place finish in Las Vegas, Allgaier said it was a thrill to finally get the win in the sports and entertainment capital of the world.

"I've been so close so many times, and I love coming out here," Allgaier said. "You know, over the years, when you finish second, third, and fourth, you just keep knocking off those top fives. It's great and you love every minute of it, but it's also disheartening because you want this victory."
It's a victory that Allgaier credited to his JR Motorsports team for bringing a competitive car to the Las Vegas race.
“This is the first time Jarrett Logistics has been in Victory Lane at all,” he said. “To see Mike Jarrett here and his family and to get them in Victory Lane... it’s really, really special.”
The LiUNA! win gives Allgaier momentum early in the season, as the Xfinity Series rolls on to Florida and the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Catch the race live on The CW Saturday, March 22 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
