DARLINGTON, S.C. (WGHP) — It’s throwback weekend at Darlington Raceway as many teams give their racecars an old-school look from something in NASCAR or racing history.
The paint schemes are personal to the team or the driver, picked on a piece of racing history or nostalgia.
Sometimes the scheme is based on a look from the same number the team runs currently, throwing back to a look ran by that same number, sometimes a team picks a theme because it’s just fun for them or their current sponsors.
